This lecture is for the curious, so come along if you’re interested in the specialty that forms the interface between law and medicine. By the end of the session, you should be able to recall the medical definition of death, how death is diagnosed in a clinical setting, and be aware of the natural changes that occur to a body after death.\n \nBe aware of the procedures in place needed to legally and medically diagnose death\nUnderstand that death is a process\nUnderstand the mechanisms behind characteristic changes the body undergoes after death, and how these can be used to estimate the time since death in a forensic setting\n\nIt was brought to our attention that a small number of students were able to view some copyrighted pictures in the copy of the slides that were uploaded in advance of this session.
