ECGs in a heartbeat! Understanding the basics of ECGs

This session aims to help students understand the basics of ECGs. For
newcomers it will be a good starting point for you to develop core
knowledge and confidence; and for more experienced students it is an
opportunity to review the basics.
We will discuss how to perform an ECG, and how to interpret ECG results.

Learning Objectives/Outcomes:
By the end of the session the students should:
Understand how to perform a 12 lead ECG.
Understand what the different components of the ECG represent.
Have a systemic approach to interpreting ECGs and reporting their findings.
