Heart Murmurs

Not sure if that’s a murmur you heard? And if so what kind of heart murmur is it?
This is a situation we have all found ourselves in at some point on the ward. In this session we will discuss common heart murmurs, their indicative examination findings, and how to investigate a possible murmur. This will be an interactive session open to all! We look forward to seeing you!

By the end of the session students should:
Have an understanding of the basic heart anatomy relevant to murmurs.
Be familiar with how a patient with a heart murmur may present.
Be able to identify common heart murmurs from clinical findings.
Be familiar with investigations used to confirm clinical suspicion of heart murmurs.
